Elementary

Welcome! We are very passionate about teaching children to love God and to learn from His Word. At Faircreek, we offer many opportunities for your elementary age child like Sunday morning worship, Awana, Kids Street Live, and other special events. On a typical Sunday morning, your child(ren) will begin in an area designed for them to have fun and to build relationships with their small group leaders and other children. Next, they head to the theater to worship together as a group. After worship, they split into two groups – kindergarten through first grade and second through fourth grade – who will each experience three centers that are fifteen minutes long and are designed to help them grow in their relationship with God and with others. These centers include a teaching time, a video which reinforces the lesson, and a small group time. We really enjoy our time with the children, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Our elementary ministry is open to children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. It features dynamic and energetic worship, imaginative Bible lessons, fun games, and lots of candy and prizes. Be sure to check out the Family Worship Guide for great ideas that help reinforce what your kids are learning each week in Life House.

Virtues this Quarter:

January | Self-Control | Choosing to do what you should do, not what you want to do
February | Honor | Letting someone know you see how valuable they are
March | Conviction | Standing for what is right, even when others don’t
April | Hope | Believing that something good can come out of something bad

Route 56 (5th – 6th)
One of the most difficult transitions in life is becoming a teenager. We are trying to make this transition smoother for our 5th and 6th graders by providing a unique opportunity for them to learn how to be leaders in everyday life through serving. We will focus on helping them find their shape in ministry, and we will coordinate with parents as their kids enter Faircreek Student Ministries. We will take a deeper look into God’s Word and encourage them to take their next step in their faith journey. They will be given opportunities to build relationships, learn leadership skills, and to participate in the drama and worship teams for Life House on Sundays. Sundays at 10:45am we are currently studying Romans to see how it applies to life today.

AWANA is a weekly Bible-centered youth club for kids 3 years through sixth graders. AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15) and its goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ, and train them to serve Him. This is done through Bible based lessons, scripture memorization, and entertaining games.

Each weekly meeting is divided into three distinct segments for our clubbers: Council Time, Handbook Time and Game Time. The kids are also divided into age appropriate groups: three, four and pre-K five-year-olds are in Cubbies; K-2nd graders are in Sparks, and 3rd through 6th graders are in Truth-in-Training (TnT). Our AWANA club meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year from 6-8:00pm.

~ Faircreek Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all children. Parents need to check-in each child at one of our kiosks. Each child will receive a name tag that must be worn and a matching claim ticket for the parent. When parents come to pick up their children, they must show the matching number on their claim ticket before their children will be released.

For children in 5th and 6th grade that check in to Route 5:6, they will receive name tags, but parents will not have to pick them up at the end of the class. They will be free to come and find you.

~ For everyone’s safety and peace of mind, we always have at least two workers in each classroom.

~ Snacks are provided in each nursery and preschool class and on occasion, in the elementary classes as well. If your child has a special dietary restriction or food allergy, please inform the teacher.

~ Our goal is to provide a healthy environment for children and adults. In order to minimize the spread of infectious diseases, only healthy children and adults are allowed in the classrooms. An individual is considered unhealthy if they currently have any of the following symptoms, or if they have had them in the last 24 hours: diarrhea, severe coughing, fever, rashes or unidentified spots, runny nose, vomiting, or difficulty breathing.
